Padel. Where is it from? What is it? And why?

Padel was born in Mexico and then made its way to Europe, conquering the Old Continent like nachos.

It’s incredibly popular in Spain, Sweden, and Italy. The strong surge in the popularity of this sport has led the paddle ball to head towards Polish courts!

Will we hit the ball back? Of course!

We got hooked on Padel and want you to share the passion for this sport with us!
That’s why the idea of creating Padel Spot was born!

All sounds good, but how do you play it!?

It’s neither tennis nor squash. It’s simply Padel – a distinct racket sport, one could say a cousin of the above-mentioned disciplines.

The game is played on a smaller court than in tennis, roughly 1/3 the size of a tennis court, surrounded by glass walls and a wire fence. Points are counted according to the standard rules used in classic tennis. The aim of the players is to hit the ball over the net and into the opponents’ court. The ball must bounce once on the other side before being returned by the opposing team.

Now, it should be clear, but the best way to learn is to try it yourself!

No tension and no pressure

The rackets used for Padel are solid and have no strings. The ball is similar to a tennis ball but with less pressure and is softer.

We play as a team!

We are socially engaged! In Padel, we are a team!

Teams consist of two players (doubles play). Thanks to this, Padel, besides being a sport, becomes a social game that connects people who want to have fun and be active. Cooperation and competition in a good atmosphere are essential in Padel.

Padel above divisions

In Padel, you can play regardless of gender and age.

It’s a game for players of different skills, providing good training while being less physically demanding and easier on the joints. It’s a sport that transcends divisions! Players of different generations – parents, seniors, and children – can meet on the court. Amateurs and professionals can play Padel.
